SIMONA MATERI

Simona was born in 1971 in Caserta.

She obtained her diploma in book-keeping, but began her artistic studies by following the diploma in Goldsmith Jewellery at the “Il Tari” Foundation in Marcianise (Ce), and the diploma in the metal section of the “Manuppella” State Institute if Art in Isernia.

She has participated in various specialisation courses in artistic discipline.

She is currently enrolled in her second year of the Scuola Libera del Nudo of the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, where she is developing a particular interest in the courses of Chalcography Engraving.

She has participated in numerous national and international chalcography engraving contests.

She obtained her participation diploma with honours for the object proposed at the International Award of Goldsmith Design of the Gobbato Gold Emotion.

In 2001 she took part in the “Prima Biennale Internazionale di Incisione di Douro-Alijo” (Portugal), with the etching “profondo dentro”.

She lives in Venafro (IS), and works in the town as a goldsmith and engraver from her own workshop.
