RAFFAELLA
RAVELLI
Raffaella was born in Brescia in 1971. She graduated in
1995 with the highest grade possible in the “Decorative Painting” section at
the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera, Milan.
It was there that she acquired the engraving
techniques, which she later deepened by attending a masters and specialisation
courses in Cagliari, Venice, Urbino and Milan.
She attended the printing works of Giorgio Upiglio,
collaborating as a printer.
In 1995 she won the “Premio Brera per l’Incisione
Originale” and also in the same year the “Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna”
Competition at the 5th National
Contest of Engraving “Ugonia-Morselli”, Brisighella (RA).
She has displayed her works in numerous cities both in
Italy and abroad, taking part in collective exhibitions and original graphic
competitions.
Her pieces are present in public and private
collections, which, among others, include the “Bertarelli Collection” in
Milan and the Contemporary Art Museum of Ankara, Turkey.
She is listed in the “Dizionario degli incisori
bresciani” and in the “Repertorio degli incisori Italiani”, and her works
appear in various art catalogues. Since 1993 she has worked as an engraving
artist.
