LINDA GRITTINI

 

Linda was born in Milan in 1974.

Ever since she was young she was surrounded by art, in as much that her father Giuliano opened a printing works, precisely in 1974, where the majority of Italian and foreign contemporary authors converged. After having attended the artistic secondary school, she enrolled in the Academy of Brera in 1993.

For several months she followed, thanks to a studying grant, the courses at the “Academy of Fine Arts” in Brussels where she deepened her engraving techniques.

Her dissertation was entitled “L’importanza del rapporto tra l’artista e lo stampatore” – the importance of the relationship between the artist and the printer , and she attained her diploma with the highest possible grade.

In those years, she would have had the opportunity of meeting and associating with various artists who collaborate with the printing woks. In 2001 she attended the international summer courses for artistic engraving, held in Urbino.

She also took part in artistic events linked to engraving and printing techniques, at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, the ”Leonardo da Vinci” in the Science and Technology Museum in Milan, The “Ammiraglio Action” art Gallery in Milan, the Miart fair 1994, Castello di Belgioioso in Pavia, The “l’Incisione” printing works.

She works as printer and engraver in her father’s printing works in Corbetta (MI)
