GIULIANO GRITTINI

 

Giuliano was born in Milan in 1951.

He obtained the basis with regards to printing techniques in Milan, at the Graphic Arts school in via Benigno Crespi He attended the Graphic Design School and carried out various studies of important artists, specialising in the different printing techniques.

He devoted himself to printed images, including photography amongst his main interests. He has participated in various national and international photography contests including the “World Press Photo”.

He creates original artist books published in limited editions, collaborating with artists and poets.

He has held numerous personal and collective exhibitions, and has also participated in national and international fairs, for example:

Venice, Word festival “Venezia Poesia” in 1977, Photographing Alda Merini and Umberto Eco (author intervention);

Milan, 1997, “MI-ART” Contemporary Modern Art Fair;

Lecce, 1998,”Apriticielo” theatre, music, photography and painting meetings;

Busto Arsizio, Aquifante Gallery, “Clon-art” exhibition, with Alda Merini;

Venice, 2001, “Biennale di Venezia”, participating within the “Bunker poetico”.

His photographs have been published in renowned newspapers and magazines, such as: Corriere della Sera, Il Giorno, La Stampa, Il Messaggero, l’Unità, Amica, Panorama and l’Espresso.

He has managed the Art Printing works “l’Incisione” for thirty years, which he founded.
