BARBARA MARTINI  

Barbara was born in Brescia in 1977.

She obtained her art teacher’s diploma at the Caravaggio Art Institute in Brescia and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera, Milan in 2002, attaining an A/A grade, with a dissertation entitled “Xilografia: ricognizione storica dal XIII sec. a Marangoni” – Xylography: historical recognition from the eighteenth century to Marangoni”.

She attended specialisation courses in graphic art in Urbino and Milan, under the artistic direction of renowned artist-engravers like B. Missieri, R.Guerra, S. Weyman, M. Schleiner, A. Occhipinti, D. Upiglio.

She participated in various artistic initiatives and was selected in many graphic competitions and biennial events, for example: “Salon I” Permanent Museum, Milan; “Percorsi dell’incisione contemporanea” 2001 and 2002, Fermignano (PU); “Naturarte”, Lodi; Tiepolo Biennial Competition for Engraving Mirano (VE); “Fabio Bertoni” International Engraving Competition – 5th edition, Fermignano (PU); travelling exhibition “Fuori Forma” held in Italy and Denmark; “I Premio di incisione Carnello Arte”, Sora (FR).

 She is also listed in the “Repertorio degli incisori Italiani” in 2004.

Her works are present in private and public spaces in Italy and abroad. Barbara works in Rovato (BS).
